Our Philosophy

We never forget that healthy and happy patients are the greatest asset to our practice and the reason we come to work each day. Patient satisfaction is our number one priority and we work to make every aspect of your affiliation with this office pleasant,
from the initial telephone communication through the successful completion of treatment which leaves you feeling and looking terrific.
Unlike most dental practices, we have stressed quality over quantity in developing our patient base. Of course we are delighted when our satisfied patients refer their friends and relatives to us, but neither you nor the people you refer will ever feel like cogs in a machine or open mouths on a dental conveyor belt. In this practice, we get to know each patient as a unique individual and tailor treatment accordingly. Our extensive new patient examination (100 minutes) allows Dr. Eisenberg to take down a complete medical and dental history and allows the patient to express his or her dental concerns and priorities.
We consider patients our partners in achieving their oral health. We work to develop in each of our patients a high "Dental IQ" - in other words, they appreciate their dental health and value the high quality dental care required to ensure it. We likewise respect our patient's intelligence and their right to understand and
participate fully in choosing appropriate treatment. With each patient we discuss in detail the special conditions of his or her mouth and explain necessary procedures. When several treatment options are available, we'll delineate the pros and cons and work with the patient to decide upon the best treatment for him or her. We welcome questions and promise straightforward answers. We believe that mutual respect and honesty create the kind of long-term practice-patient relationships upon which patient health, and this practice, thrive.
Some dental offices spend all day putting out fires - squeezing in emergencies and treating toothaches. Our emphasis on comprehensive, preventive care reduces the incidence of emergencies among our patients. We devise a long-term plan of action specific to each patient, bringing his or her mouth to full dental health and keeping it that way with a regimen of regular treatment and care.
If and when an emergency does arise, patients appreciate being able to contact Dr. Eisenberg immediately through his emergency answering service. You'll never feel like you're out of touch when you're part of our family of patients.

Whether on the internet or in the treatment room, this practice stays on the cutting edge.

Clinical Treatment
(Top of Page)

In accordance with our philosophy of care, clinical diagnosis and treatment is made on a comprehensive basis. While a specific condition such as a toothache might cause someone to seek care at our office, it is to the patient's detriment to treat solely the toothache and not make an accurate assessment of the overall oral condition. "Tunnel vision" dental treatment is unfair to the patient and is poor practice. Once a diagnosis is made we are trained and equipped to expertly take care of most oral conditions and associated treatments:
-periodontal ("gum") disease
-endodontics ("root canal treatment")
-TMJ disorders -cosmetic bonding, crowns and bridges
-dentures and partial dentures
-inlays, onlays and basic fillings
Part of your yearly physical
Each dental appointment is also an important component of a patient's general health care. Besides checking the obvious such as teeth and gums, Dr. Eisenberg also routinely screens for tongue, palate, and throat disorders such as cancers, cysts and tumors.

Early detection by the dentist of these oral conditions and referral to the appropriate medical professional enhance patients' chances for successful treatment and a complete recovery.

Hygiene Department
Our hygienist has many important roles to play. Her thorough cleanings help conscientious patients maintain their long-term dental health. She is also the first line of dental defense, identifying developing trouble spots in need of treatment before they become serious.

She is an educator, teaching patients proper brushing and flossing techniques for optimal oral hygiene between visits. And patients with more advanced periodontal disease depend on her quarterly periodontal charting exams to numerically monitor the status of the disease.

Dental Laboratory
Dr. Eisenberg does much of the lab work on-site in the office laboratory. We also work with an outstanding dental lab technician to ensure that our crowns and bridges meet the high functional and esthetic standards set by the dentist and the patient.

On occasion the lab technician personally meets with the patient to perfectly match tooth shades so you have a smile you can be proud of. Our patients look as good as they feel!

Specialists
There are some occasions on which we choose to refer a patient to a specialist. We have established professional relationships with the finest specialists in the city, with whom we work closely in treating particularly difficult cases. Patient care is enhanced by this close cooperation between the specialist and the general dentist, which also makes us uniquely prepared to maintain the patient's long-term dental health after specialized treatment.
